Griffiths Island, Port Fairy

Wednesday 23 January 2019. During our stay in Killarney, on Victoria’s far west coast, the Handels visited Port Fairy and enjoyed a very charming walk around hilly, sandy Griffiths Island, separated from Port Fairy’s port by a short causeway. We circumambulated the island in an anticlockwise direction, passing the lighthouse en route. The walk is around 3 kilometres long. The island hosts a colony of shearwaters but we did not see them.
