Monday 15 April 2019. Before today’s visit, we had not taken this interesting and varied Otways walk to Stevenson’s Falls, not far from the town of Forrest, for some years. The 2–3 kilometre walk passes through a variety of vegetation – here bush, there plantation, here again almost meadow. It is somewhat dry in this part of the Otways but still very lovely. The Gellibrand River was flowing nicely so the waterfall was reasonably full (perhaps it always is), and we spent some time sitting on rocks admiring the water. On the way back we stopped in the Redwood plantation. It really is magnificent. Stevenson’s Falls carpark is reached via Upper Gellibrand Rd, off Forrest–Apollo Bay Rd, just down the road from Forrest.
